Something isn’t working: get help
Start by checking that you are in the correct business and have an internet connection. If a document or customer is missing, clear the search and check the date range.
Choose the screen you use for SmartBill:
- Note what you were doing and the exact error message.
- Open the account menu and choose Contact support.
- Describe the issue, screen, and time it occurred.
- Send the request and wait for the confirmation.
- Note the message and whether you use iPhone or Android.
- Tap the account picture and choose Contact support.
- Describe what you tried to do and what actually happened.
- Send and wait for confirmation.
After a document, payment, or upload error, first check whether the action already completed before trying again. Do not include passwords or full card details. If you cannot sign in, start with the sign-in guide.
If Failed to send request appears, the request has not been confirmed as sent. Your text stays in the dialog: check your connection and try again. While sending, wait for the progress indicator to finish.
Updating the iPhone app
Link to section: Updating the iPhone appOn desktop, update prompts do not open the App Store.
- On iPhone, when A new app update is available appears, tap Update. SmartBill asks iOS to open the App Store; wait while the button shows progress.
- If Could not open the App Store appears, check your connection and tap Try again. You can also open the App Store yourself, search for SmartBill, and install the available update.
- For an optional update, Later postpones it. A required update has no Later action; if opening the store fails, the prompt stays available for another attempt.
On Android, SmartBill uses Google Play for updates. Follow the update instructions shown by Google Play.
