Hours reporting for employees

A person invited with the Employee role lands in the employee workspace and finds Hours reporting there. Hours are stored with the employer; the employee sees only their own shifts.

  1. In the employee workspace open Hours reporting.
  2. If your employer does not require QR scanning, choose Manual · Clock in when work starts and Manual · Clock out when it ends. When scanning is required, the manual button is hidden; scan the workplace QR from the mobile app.
  3. This month’s shifts appear under the clock with the total hours.

On desktop, use the side menu for Home, Hours reporting, Absences, and My expenses; on mobile, use the bottom navigation. The SmartBill logo returns to the employee workspace home. If hours reporting is unavailable, ask your employer to check that the module and your employee record are active.

In the employee workspace open Absences and tap Request an absence. Pick a type (vacation, sick leave, reserve duty and more), the dates and a reason, and optionally attach a doctor’s note or another document. The request waits for the employer’s decision; until then you can withdraw it.

If you see “That is not your workplace’s QR”, ask the employer to print the current QR. Forgot to clock out? Tell the employer; they can close the shift and correct the times.

Once the employer approves the month’s hours, Hours reporting shows an Approved hours sheet card under the month picker with work days, total hours, the 100% / 125% / 150% split and every day on its own line. Tap Reviewed and confirmed to let the employer know you went over it. Until then a note says the month has not been approved yet.
